עובדיה בן אברהם מברטנורא – Obadiah ben Abraham of Bartenura (also spelled Bartenora or Bertinoro), called The Bartenura. 15th century Italian scholar and commentator who penned a major commentary on the Mishna which bears his name. So influential was this commentary that no subsequent publication of the Mishna is made without including the Bartenura. He was also famed for his journey to Israel, where he quickly became a major spiritual leader and rabbi, and for embracing Spanish Jews fleeing the Inquisition.
